Translation and adaptation of Jean Giono's 1929 short story 'Regain' ('Aftergrass') and Marcel Pagnol's 1937 film scenario of the same name.
In 1937, the French writer Marcel Pagnol (1896-1974) adapted a short story by time and local fellow Jean Giono into a film scenario: 'Regain'. It tells the story of a hunter who hunts down a woman and eventually ends up a farmer.
In 2000, Waas Gramser and Kris Van Trier adapted this a lesser known film script by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono into a theatre play 'Regain'.
