Actors Lukas de Wolf and Evelien Bosmans have both appeared in Comp. Marius plays countless times and have shared the stage with each other in various constellations. They felt that the time was ripe to try their hand at directing, and are now taking on ‘Venus in Fur’ for Comp. Marius: a play within a play, with a director looking for an actress to cast as the lead in his new performance. In a brand-new Dutch translation of this mysterious comedy, the lines between playing and not playing become blurred, and conversations on gender and power bubble up – themes that have become an integral part of daily life.
